Well, the saga continues with my new feed, Chris and Cars. As promised last week, I’m telling ya’ll more in the hopes ya find this interesting and helpful.
I’ve retired from racing, I tried to walk away, but here we are 2.5 years removed from said, “ Pirate Ship Plank Walk.” But not for mutiny. I promised my new wife I would as done, well…..
So there was this Porsche event….😂 As a pro driver, ( yes that needs stated, we don’t all become famous), and as an instructor there appears to be a new “ Standard of Excellence “ to achieve. Well the U.S. Marine in me said, charge the beaches and we’ll sort out Gods children later.
I received word today, that I met the standard. more on that later…in a future post.
But today, I not only accomplished ( blindfolded) my National Instructor License with Porsche National but ALSO, a level II certification with the National Motorsport Safety Foundation. ( I held a level 1 cert since 2020.)
To many, not in my industry, let me “splain” it to ya, it’s like going from a Bachelor’s degree to a PhD.
Ya’ll get it now? God is good! Stay tuned for the official credentials in the snail mail picture when they arrive. I only spent most of my life to achieve this and the great news is, I get paid zero dollars doing this just to make better instructors for those that want to drive fast. I’m proud to give back to the sport that has given me a great life in the auto racing business!
Also, next weekend, I can now announce, I’ll be in Louisville, KY instructing with the Ford Driving Skills for Life program for round 3 of 2026 to help some young drivers understand car dynamics behind the wheel better and the consequences it may cost them if they choose wrongly. It’s always a hoot making an impact on them!
