We’re so proud of Ms. Coleman's third grade class for their amazing work on their recent Life Cycles Science Project!

Over the past few weeks, these young scientists have been diving into the fascinating world of life cycles — exploring everything from butterflies and frogs to plants… and even chickens! Students observed and researched each stage of development, creating colorful and creative displays to share their findings.

Their hard work culminated in a fantastic Science Showcase, where students presented their projects to fellow students, families, and community members. One of the highlights? Watching how eggs develop into fluffy chicks!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students. It was a great day of learning, curiosity, and celebration!

BREAKING NEWS: The Booker T. Washington Tiger Soccer team just closed out their season like champs in the Iam3rd Intermediate Soccer League — with a final win and a beastly 6-1 record! ⚽️🏅
Only loss? First game. After that, they basically decided losing wasn’t for them.

Shoutout to Coaches Baird, Blunk, Bodine, and Neely for steering the ship like soccer Jedi.

Proud of our players, proud of our coaches, and proud of whatever magic Gatorade they’ve been drinking.

Celebrating Our D.A.R.E. Graduates!

We are proud to announce our 5th grade class at Booker T. Washington Elementary has officially graduated from the D.A.R.E. program! Congratulations to Ms. Chumley’s and Ms. White’s classes for completing this important journey in learning about decision-making, responsibility, and staying drug-free.

A special shout-out to our D.A.R.E. Essay winners, Isimbi Hornella and Christin Clayborne, who were recognized for their outstanding essays. They are pictured here with Officer Hopson and Ms. Rolanda Woolfolk.

Thank you to Ms. Woolfolk and the Georgetown Street Neighborhood Association for generously providing the rewards for our essay winners. Your support means so much to our students and our community.

A huge shoutout goes to Coach Baird, who continues the proud tradition of organizing Field Day each year with energy and dedication—thank you for all you do!

We’re also incredibly grateful for our parent volunteers and school staff who gave their time and effort to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your teamwork and commitment are what make days like this possible.

The Booker T. Washington Elementary Tigers soccer team is on fire! ⚽️🔥 They just earned their fifth win of the season, shutting out their opponents with an incredible 7–0 victory today!🎉

With a current record of 5–1 and only one more game left in the season, the Tigers are showing what hard work, teamwork, and Tiger pride can do on the field.💪🏼
