Today, our campers took the stage for our very first Summer Camp Talent Show, and what an incredible show it was!

We were amazed by the confidence, creativity, and talent displayed by our students. From singing and dancing to special performances and unique talents, each participant did a fantastic job sharing their gifts with others.

We are so proud of all of our campers for stepping outside their comfort zones, supporting one another, and making this event such a success. Thank you to our staff, families, and everyone who helped make this memorable day possible!

This week, Summer Camp Rising 2nd graders read “What the Road Said” by Cleo Wade. Students participated in meaningful discussions and answered questions about the lessons the road was teaching the girl. We talked about how it is okay to make mistakes, ways to be brave when something feels difficult, and how we can show kindness to others. Students also worked through different scenarios and discussed how they could respond with kindness in each situation. They had so much fun sharing their ideas and learning from one another!

To wrap up the lesson, we completed a STEAM activity. Students worked collaboratively in groups to create a blueprint for a bridge they wanted to build. Using popsicle sticks, play-dough, index cards, and paper people, they designed and constructed their bridges, testing their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
