Today marked the culmination of a fantastic journey for our Forestry & Wildlife Ecology class. Our students spent the year raising Brook Trout right in the classroom, gaining a deep understanding of life cycles and cold-water conservation.
Beyond just raising the fish, students acted as real-world field biologists by conducting:
• Chemical Water Testing: Monitoring pH, Nitrogen, and temperature levels.
• Macroinvertebrate Assessment: Evaluating the local ecosystem's biodiversity.
A huge thank you to Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden for partnering with us to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards!

We would like to thank Boxerwood for the wonderful opportunity for our Biological Applications of Agriculture, Forestry & Wildlife Ecology and Horticulture students to visit and help plant trees.

Our students had a great time while also learning valuable skills, including the proper techniques for planting trees and the important role trees play in protecting waterways and supporting healthy ecosystems.

Experiences like this allow our students to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real-world situations. We are grateful for the partnership and look forward to continuing to work with Boxerwood and other community organizations in the future!

Strawberry pick up was moved to next Tuesday from 4:00-6:00. Students were told last week and were told to talk to their customers. The company had to move the date back a week due to the ripeness of the fruit being delayed.

Today Mrs. Gosney’s horticulture class stepped out of the greenhouse and flower beds to pick up trash in the community. We cleaned up 2.5 miles and collected 26 bags of trash. Thanks to SRO Lawhorn and Mrs. Ramsey for helping!
