On August 22, 2026, Captain John Parker's Lexington Company participated in the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn. During the event, we portrayed Captain John Wood's Company of the 26th Continental Regiment, which was composed of almost two dozen Lexington men who volunteered for the cause of American Independence.

In this particular image, Wood's Company is standing alone, covering the American retreat so that other Continental soldiers can fight another day.

Be sure to follow this page in the coming months as we debut our 26th Contiental Regimental impression in advance of the 250th Anniversary observations of the Battles of White Plains, Trenton and Priceton!

This past weekend, Captain John Parker's Lexington Company, aka Captain Edmund Munroe's Company, 15th Massachusetts Regiment, Glover's Brigade, participated in an immersive 48-hour tactical at the Bidwell House Museum. Our duties included patrols, manning the picket line, engaging in guard details and maintaining constant vigilance against Tory rascals and their Native allies.

To say we had an amazing experience is an understatement! To quote one member, "This was the greatest event I have ever participated in so far in my reenacting life!"

We'd like to take a moment to thank the Bidwell House Museum, Tommy Tringale, and Claus' Rangers for planning such a high-quality event. We look forward to supporting key living history units and historical sites as we approach the 250th Anniversary of the Saratoga Campaign!

This past Sunday, Captain John Parker’s Lexington Company took part in the 250th Anniversary of the Reading of the Declaration of Independence in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The celebration happened on the same date as the original reading 250 years ago.

Our members took on different roles that would have been seen in Newburyport in 1776, from Market Square to the Merrimack River. We portrayed civilians, shirt makers, militia and alarm list men, marine recruiters, and privateers from the Newburyport sloop “Game Cock.”

Congratulations to the City of Newburyport, the Museum of Old Newbury, and the Custom House Maritime Museum. This important 250th anniversary celebration brought together 115 living historians and interpreters, along with about 5,000 spectators. It was a great reminder that interpretive and educational events can also highlight moments beyond the battlefield.
