Today we're excited to introduce the newest member of our Visual Arts Department! Please help us welcome our new Art Teacher, who will be joining Mr. Jaramillo-Jones in inspiring creativity and helping our students grow as artists. Meet another new member of the Blackcat family! 🐾

Today we're excited to welcome Dr. Mackenzie Leachman, our new District Mental Health Specialist serving LEX Middle!

Dr. Leachman's role is to partner with students, families, and staff to ensure every Blackcat has the support they need to succeed. She can assist with student consultations, social-emotional learning, and helping students navigate challenges such as anxiety and behavioral needs while building resilience and healthy coping skills. She also supports our district's work in school safety, crisis response, and positive behavior initiatives.

We're thrilled to have Dr. Leachman as part of our school community. Please join us in giving her a warm Blackcat welcome! 🖤💛
