Help us celebrate this week’s LEX Scholars of the Week, recognized for demonstrating PERSEVERANCE!

These scholars were nominated and voted on by their teachers and LEX staff members for showing that they are willing to keep going, even when things get difficult.

Perseverance means pushing through challenges, learning from mistakes, trying a new approach when something doesn’t work, and refusing to give up on yourself. These Blackcats are showing us that growth happens when we keep trying!

These scholars were nominated and voted on by their teachers and LEX staff members for consistently putting forth effort, staying focused, persevering when learning gets challenging, and working toward being their best each day.

Hard work doesn’t always mean getting everything right the first time. It means continuing to try, learning from mistakes, asking for help when needed, and giving your best effort. These Blackcats are showing us what that looks like!

Whether it’s noticing when someone needs support, taking the time to listen, considering another person’s perspective, or showing compassion, these Blackcats are helping make LEX a place where everyone can feel seen, supported, and valued. 🐾

Lexington Middle School headed into the long weekend with a pep rally. A great time was had by all.

Eighth grade won the spirit stick for winning the most points at the pep rally.

Grade levels compete with good attendance, good grades, and more during the school day.

We hope all LEX scholars and staff enjoy their long weekend!

Families: As part of our One School, One Book work with Mascot by Traci Sorell and Charles Waters, We're excited to launch a new project that will give some of our students the opportunity to quite literally become the voices of the book.

We are beginning auditions for a student-performed audio production of Mascot. Our plan is to cast the six student narrators, rehearse their material, and record the story in our podcast studio. I’ll be casting an adult performer as Ms. Williams.
