🎓 KWIA's College Scholarship application is still open, but not much longer!

Kentucky Women in Agriculture is accepting applications for our $1,000 scholarship(s) for women that are full-time students from junior year through graduate school. Applicants must be enrolled in a Kentucky school, or an affiliate veterinary school, and pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field.

What an incredible achievement, and we are cheering you on every step of the way!

The Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program (KALP), which recently celebrated 40 years of growing leaders in the Commonwealth, has chosen 22 new candidates to represent its 15th class.

The program provides farmers and business professionals working in agriculture-related fields with an intensive leadership development experience. KALP’s mission is to identify, develop and motivate Kentuckians for effective leadership in agriculture and rural communities.

“This is a group of highly motivated and talented individuals who will continue to shape the future direction of Kentucky agriculture and our food system and address challenging issues in our rural communities," said Will Snell, KALP co-director and UK agricultural economist.

The American Farm Bureau Federation’s National Women in Agriculture Study is gathering insights on leadership, challenges and opportunities for women in agriculture to help strengthen support systems across the industry.

The survey welcomes input from farmers, ranchers, agribusiness professionals, educators, advocates and others connected to agriculture, forestry and the life sciences. Results from the study will be shared at the International Year of the Woman Farmer Advocate, Cultivate, Empower Summit to be held in Washington, D.C., in June 2026.

The NWIAA has an exciting event planned next Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 10am EST, that all women in agriculture can benefit from! This virtual experience will give insight to what this organization is all about. The purpose of this event? A historic anticipated launch to the 15-State Farmers Aid & Assistance Program during the 2026 Year of the International Woman, advancing women-led agriculture, food security, and farmer sustainability at the state and federal levels. 🌱
