𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞:
𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
We will follow a normal schedule on this day. Students will take teacher-made exams in each period unless exempt. Exempt students who do not attend a class will be marked with an unexcused absence for that period. Students who are not in attendance on Thursday, May 21 will still be eligible for athletic participation that afternoon and/or evening if applicable, as Thursday falls within our local teacher-made exam window. However, the unexcused absence will still count toward their total and be used to determine fall athletic eligibility.
𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟐 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟗, students enrolled in courses with a state-mandated End-of-Course Exam or CTE Post Assessment will take those exams. School administrators will provide students with their specific testing schedule. Some students will also attend days for remediation and/or retesting of EOC exams. Attendance will be taken daily. Students must report to homeroom for 10 minutes at the beginning of each day for the purpose of taking attendance. Absences recorded in homeroom will not affect athletic eligibility or academic standing. All absences will be marked as an unexcused absence. Following homeroom, students will transition to their exam testing location.
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:
To maintain perfect attendance, students must attend at least half a day (8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) each day of the spring exam window.
This process mirrors the same approach we used during the fall exam schedule in December, which helps ensure consistency and fairness for all students.
