Congratulations to the Oglethorpe County High School Science Olympiad team! The team placed in the top 10 of all Division A teams across the state! We had several students who placed in the top 5 for the following events:
Bungee Drop: 4th place: Victor Ross and Jeffrey Molina
Codebusters: 5th place: Mason Drewett, James Adams, Cory Tillman
Materials Science: 4th place: Mason Drewett, James Adams
Ornithology: 4th place Mason Drewett, Amber Tiller

Congratulations to the Oglethorpe County High School Science Olympiad team! Out of 24 teams across all classifications, they placed 9th out of 24 teams, and 3rd in division A teams (smaller high schools). Several team members placed in individual events. They will compete again at the state science Olympiad competition at Georgia Tech in April. Congratulations to them for an outstanding competition!

The Oglethorpe County High School Science Olympiad Team participated in the UGA College of Agriculture Outreach day. Students designed circuits, practiced suturing, cultured cells and many more labs to help them prepare for future competitions.

The Oglethorpe County Science Olympiad team is ready for a fun day of event preparation at UGA! We are ready to build towers, tour the cadaver lab, learn microbiology and do some chemistry! We are so thankful for this free opportunity provided by the UGA College of Agriculture and Science Olympiad organization

Do you have BINDERS on your child's back-to-school list this year? Well, thanks to a VERY large donation of binders, the Athens Area Teacher Reuse Store has you covered. Join us Wednesday July 31st from 3-6pm for a special event where we have BINDERS available to the general public for FREE, while supplies last.

When you arrive at the CHaRM/Teacher Reuse (1005 College Ave), please turn left (away from the building) and park. There will be someone to direct you.

NOTE: The Teacher Reuse Store is open for teachers throughout the year (please see the page for hours). This is a SPECIAL EVENT when the general public can come get supplies.

Congratulations to our amazing Science Olympiad team at the Georgia State Science Olympiad Tournament at Georgia Tech! They placed 6th! This is the first time Oglethorpe County High School has competed at the state level. We had several students who placed in individual events! Special thanks to Lexington Primary Care for their sponsorship and Mrs. Felicia Dellaria for driving our team to Atlanta. The Oglethorpe County High School Science Olympiad Patriots competed well in the region tournament today at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, GA. Several students placed individually. We are grateful for the sponsorship of Lexington Primary Care with Dr. And Mrs. Gul! Special thanks to Felicia Dellaria who drove us, our UGA student teacher Madison Gibson, and Ginger Tiller who supported us today by helping by chaperoning. Special thanks to all of the parents of these students! We are proud of this team!

Today, Ms. Young's Environmental Science class collected research for the Great Southeast Pollinator Count! Their data will be added to other data collected across the Southeast today and tomorrow.
