The Upper School Recitation Day is a special LLS tradition! At this event, students showcase their memorization abilities by reciting passages from Scripture and classic works that they have spent the year reading.

Last week, sixth graders and their mothers enjoyed a special Lower School tradition: the Anne of Green Gables Tea! This is the last grade-level event that parents attend with their students before they move to the Upper School next year, making it an especially sweet and memorable afternoon.

Congratulations to the LLS students chosen for Youth Salute!
Jasmine Hollinden, Katie Richeson, Clara Gilliam, and Silas Voelkert, along with Kathleen Ferrell and Silas Nickell (not pictured) were chosen to represent LLS.
These students attended the Youth Salute Leadership Program and Awards Ceremony this weekend.

Congratulations to both our Varsity and JV Archery teams for bringing home the KCAA State Championship title this weekend!
In the high school girls' division, the top three participants were Evie Sisk (1st), Jasmine Hollinden (2nd), and Charlotte Witbeck (3rd).
In the high school boys' division, Gabriel Petrie took 1st place and Cameron Armentrout took 3rd.
In the middle school girls' division, Ariel Stringer placed 3rd, while in the boys' division, C**t Rogers finished in 1st place and James Van Fleet came in 3rd.

Last Wednesday, our Pre-K - 2nd Grade students enjoyed a favorite Lower School tradition: the Character Parade. Students dressed up as various characters from books they read in their literature classes, such as “Peter Rabbit” and “Mr. Popper’s Penguins”!
