Fayette County Public Schools is keeping our kids fueled all summer long with free, nutritious meals for anyone ages 18 and younger! Weekday lunches will be served on-site at select library branches from June 8 through July 24 (excluding June 19 & July 3). 🍴🌞

Today was a resounding success, filled with excitement and fun, thanks to Mr. Helmburg's meticulous planning and the dynamic support of the EKU dance team, Lexington Police Department's Copscicle, and the dedicated parents who helped drive this fantastic event forward.

We're deeply grateful to Megan Higginbothan and crew of H2 Logistics, Amazon.com, and Mr. Boris and friends from Rivian for inspiring our scholars with an unforgettable on campus field trip. Today’s experience spotlighted the future of sustainable transportation - electric Amazon trucks powered by Rivian and the latest model Rivian vehicles where hands-on exploration turned theory into tangible experience. This was truly awesome! 🤩 👏🏽 🛻

Our GWC 5th grade trip exceeded expectations, empowering scholars to unlock their potential through exploration and discovery at Cincinnati's art museum and museum center, Louisville's Muhammad Ali center, PlayPort, Kentucky Science Center, and Frazier Museum, with the Bernheim Forest experience rounding out the trip. They had a wonderful time! Thank you to the chaperones that took time to attend! Thank you to Mrs. Jenkins in her hardwork and planning. Special thank you to the many donors that made this trip possible.

Our “Green Team” has driven remarkable progress in sustainability this year, pushing GWC to new heights in environmental stewardship and even establishing an outdoor classroom to foster hands-on learning. Their dedication earned the prestigious Green Level Status award, a testament to the power of collective effort. ♻️ 🗑️ 🌳 🌍 💚
