📚✨ WE DID IT, SHINING STARS! ✨📚

We are so excited to announce that Saxe Gotha Elementary has officially earned the Beanstack Reading Culture Pathfinder Award! 🏆🌟

During our District-Wide September Beanstack Challenge, Ignite Your Reading Identity, our students showed up, dove into their books, and logged their reading minutes every single day. Thanks to their hard work, over 50% of our SGES students were actively reading and logging in Beanstack to earn us this incredible "Pathfinder" status! 📈📖

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing librarian, Ms. Teresa McMurray, for her incredible hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm in spearheading this challenge! 📖❤️ From encouraging our students every day to keeping our school motivated, Mrs. McMurray made this achievement possible.

We are so proud of our readers for building strong habits and making reading such a huge part of our school culture. Keep up the amazing work, Shining Stars—keep turning those pages! 💫

✨ Exciting things are happening at SGES! ⭐

We have two incredible programs underway that take place on collaborative planning days. These programs are building relationships, encouraging healthy habits, and inspiring our students!

💡 3rd–5th Grade: Clubs
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have officially been placed into clubs of their choice! Through these special club times, our Shining Stars get to:
•🛠️ Learn fun, brand-new skills
•👩‍🏫 Connect with teachers outside their regular classrooms
•🤝 Build meaningful cross-grade level friendships across 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades

👟 4K–2nd Grade: "Walk This Way" Program
Our younger students in 4K through 2nd grade are stepping up their health and fitness with the Walk This Way program!

Through our partnership with Special Olympics, this initiative is inspired by local Special Olympian Travis Luthren, who remarkably lost over 100 pounds through walking and healthy choices! Travis’s journey serves as a powerful reminder to our students about the importance of daily physical activity, perseverance, and building healthy lifestyle habits early in life.

We love seeing all of our SGES Shining Stars learn, grow, and move together! 🌟

🏈 What an amazing High Five Friday! 🙌✨

Our Shining Stars had the best morning last Friday when the White Knoll High School football players stopped by Saxe Gotha Elementary!

The players lined up to greet students at drop-off, spreading huge smiles, high-five energy, and awesome encouragement to start our day off right. We love seeing these high school leaders inspire our younger students and show what community spirit is all about!

A big thank you to the Timberwolf football team for taking the time to invest in our future stars! 🐺⭐
