What an amazing morning! Yesterday, our Dixie Dolphins made a big splash for Bike to School Day during our Bike Rodeo! 🚴‍♀️💨

So many of our fantastic students hopped on their bikes, coasted on scooters, or walked to school before the bell rang—all to promote healthy habits, active living, and daily wellness. Seeing our Dolphin family kick off the day moving and energizing their minds and bodies was incredible!

Thank you to all the parents, staff, and volunteers who helped keep our routes safe and fun. Way to lead by example, Dolphins! 💙🐬

🎭 Lights, Camera, Action in 4th Grade! 🎭

Our 4th-grade Dolphins went headfirst into the world of theater and drama this week! 📖✨

To help bring story structure, character perspectives, and stage directions to life, our amazing 4th-grade teachers took to the "stage" to act out a live play. Meanwhile, our students turned into active audience members and script directors—following along with their scripts, tracking dialogue, and seeing literature come to life in real-time.

It was a fantastic, interactive way to practice reading comprehension, fluency, and expression while sharing plenty of laughs along the way! 👏👏

Way to go, 4th grade! Keep shining bright! 🐬⭐

Thank you to our PTA for a great day last Friday!!!

What a wonderful day celebrating our kids and bringing our school community together! We had an absolute blast with all the games, activities, smiles, and memories made throughout the day.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing businesses and community supporters listed at the end of these pictures. Your generous donations helped make Kentucky Kids Day possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your support of our students and our school! We couldn’t have done it without you.

We also want to give a special thank you to GymCore, What the Foam and Henry Clay High School Cheerleaders for donating their time to help make the day possible. Your generosity and support mean so much to our school community!

And we want to give a very special shoutout to Nicole Gwishiri, our PTA Vice President of Programs! Nicole poured so much time, energy, creativity, and heart into making this event happen. From all the planning and behind the scenes work to making sure everything came together- she went above and beyond for our kids. We are so thankful for everything she did to make the day such a success!

🚒 👮‍♀️ Dixie Dolphins Say Thank You! 🚒👮‍♂️

🇺🇸 Last Friday was a powerful day of reflection and learning at Dixie Elementary as we observed Patriot Day. With the help of Mrs. Disponette, our Dolphins were honored to host members of our local fire department alongside our very own School Resource Officer, Mr. Keaton!

🇺🇸To show our appreciation, students shared a special presentation and presented gift baskets to both our visiting firefighters and Officer Keaton.

🇺🇸Together, Officer Keaton and the fire department helped lead our school in the solemn tradition of raising the flag and lowering it to half-staff in memory of 9/11.

🇺🇸We are so proud of our students' respect and deeply grateful for Officer Keaton and all of our brave first responders! 🇺🇸💙

🐬We had such a wonderful time celebrating Grandparents this week at Dixie! Thank you to all the amazing grandparents and special family members who joined us to share a special lunch with their students and explore the Book Fair together.

🐬Seeing the smiles, shared stories, and joy in our cafeteria and library truly made for unforgettable memories. Our Dolphins loved showing you around their school and picking out new favorite books with you! 📚❤️

Our Dixie Dolphins had their very first House Meeting of the school year, and the energy in the room was electric! ⚡️

Our newest members got to take the stage and spin the big wheel to find out which of our 4 legendary Houses they’ll be representing this year. There were cheers, high-fives, and so much school spirit as each house welcomed its newest family members!

No matter which House the wheel landed on, we are all part of one big Dixie Dolphin family, ready to show kindness, leadership, and excellence all year long.
