Bryan Station Middle Bearcats

BSMS Families,

We are excited to welcome you on Monday, August 10th from 5:00-7:00 for our Back to School Bearcat Bash. We wanted to share a few notes about the evening.

-We are asking all parents to park in the football field parking lot. As you enter the school (from Wickland) make the right turn and head up the hill to the field (we will have personnel out to assist with directing traffic).

-Sign in sheets will be available in each grade level hall. You will sign in once for ALL of your students that attend BSMS. If you have a 6th grade student and an 8th grade student, you can sign one sign in sheet and list all your students on the same line.

-Student schedules are available in Infinite Campus. We are encouraging families to access schedules before coming to the school. If you are unable to do so, access to your schedule will be available (not a hard copy), however, there may be a wait for you that evening.

-Teachers will be available in their classrooms to meet students and families. Our Exploratory teachers will be assisting in various areas throughout the school.

-Mr. Neely will be giving a presentation in the cafeteria at 5:30 and 6:30. We encourage all families to attend one of these sessions. In addition to one of these sessions, the presentation for Geometry and 8th grade Algebra I students will take place at 6:00.

-Community partners, music (Band, Orchestra, Choir) classes, clubs, and sports information will be available in the Gym.

-If you need assistance with tech needs (Infinite Campus, eOS, ParentSquare, CANVAS, etc.), please visit the grade level administrators in the front hallway. We are hoping to have transportation information available as well!!

-Our Registrar will be available for questions but registration will not be taking place this evening. She will be taking appointments for you to register at a different date/time.

-Hot dogs will be available in the bus loading area while supplies last!

We know that starting a new school year can come with lots of questions and concerns—and that’s completely understandable! Our team is ready to help and will do our very best to answer your questions at our Bearcat Bash on Monday, August 10th!

Two more amazing additions are joining the Bearcat family!

Please help us welcome Amara Lebrón, our new World Language Spanish Teacher, and our School Resource Officer Anthony “Tony” Williams to Bryan Station Middle School!

Ms. Lebrón brings years of teaching experience, a love for language and culture, and an excitement for creating meaningful connections with her students. Officer Williams brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience and looks forward to building positive relationships with our students, staff, and families.

We’re excited to have both of them at BSMS and know they’ll be wonderful additions to our school community! ❤️🖤🐾

🚨Bryan Station Middle School Office Update 🚨

Please note that the Bryan Station Middle School offices will be CLOSED on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as our entire staff participates in district-wide professional learning.

We will resume normal business hours on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

We had a wonderful turnout for our Sixth-Grade Transition Day, and families asked several thoughtful questions. This Thursday 8/6 at 7:00 p.m., our principal Mr. Neely will host a virtual Parent Q&A for families who could not attend, as well as for our seventh- and eighth-grade families.

We will discuss:

🐾Changes to our grading procedures
🐾Our sixth-grade Literacy Block
🐾What sixth-grade families need to know for a successful start to the year

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our newest Bearcats for 6th Grade Transition Day, and what a fantastic start to the school year it was!

Students spent the day exploring the building, meeting staff, making new friends, learning about life at BSMS, and getting a glimpse of all the exciting opportunities that await them. We hope everyone left feeling more confident, connected, and ready to begin this next chapter.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff, student leaders, and families who helped make today such a success. Your support and enthusiasm truly made a difference!
