It is Election Season! The offices of President and Programming Chair are up for election for the 2026-2028 term. The KOSA Board is seeking nominations for these positions by Saturday, February 14th. The President and Programming Chair positions of KOSA are up for a vote for the 2026-2028 season. The KOSA Board is seeking nominations for these positions.

Duties of the President:
*Prerequisite Note: Candidates for President must have served on the KOSA Board for a minimum of 1 year.
Preside at meetings
Make appointments with Board approval
Review monthly bank statements
Serve as primary AOSA liaisons
Submit required reports to AOSA
Become Past President at the end of term but may hold additional office

Duties of the Programming Chair:
Assist President
Preside in President's absence
Develop workshop schedule
Oversee program planning
Solicit presenters for Chapter Share
Submit Programming Report

All nominated individuals will be contacted before officially placing on the election ballot. Elections will take place at our March 7th workshop, and are open to all KOSA members who are active AOSA members.

On March 25th, AOSA is partnering with Teaching with Orff to put on a great workshop with Orff educators Tiffany English and David Row, recent presenter at KMEA. They want to GET PEOPLE to LOCAL chapter workshops. Teaching with Orff has pledged to pay for a local workshop for any first time local chapter attendee who attends this webinar. INCREDIBLE! Due to the predicted storms tomorrow, the KOSA Board has decided to RESCHEDULE our workshop with Allison Croskey. Our new date will be March 29th, 2025. The location and time will remain the same! Hello KOSA friends! We are aware of the potential for severe weather tomorrow. The KOSA Board is discussing our options, including rescheduling for a later date this year (if possible). We will post our decision as soon as possible.
