As we prepare for the coming school year, we are hoping to welcome a few additional students into our rising 4th-grade class.

This is a small, close-knit group, and we are intentionally seeking students who will thrive in a Montessori environment. Ideal candidates are curious, self-motivated learners who enjoy exploring new ideas, taking ownership of their work, and collaborating respectfully with peers.

Our goal is to cultivate a strong classroom community where each child is known, challenged, and supported. If your child will be entering 4th grade and you are looking for an educational experience that fosters independence, a love of learning, and meaningful social growth, we would love to connect with you.

Scholarship opportunities may be available for students who are an especially strong fit for our program.

To learn more or schedule a conversation, please contact us. We look forward to meeting families who share a passion for Montessori education and joyful learning.

Here is your sign to check out Bay Montessori's Primary Program! This program serves children between the ages of 3-6 years old. On our campus we have three primary classrooms all of which contain a credentialed Montessori teacher and an assistant teacher. The program focuses on four main areas; practical life, sensorial, math, and language. All primary lessons are designed to address the 3-6 year old child's needs. In the primary program and across all age groups on our campus we aim to teach to the whole child.

"The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's desire to learn."

Welcome to Montessori Monday! Join us weekly for insightful quotes, philosophies, and teachings from the woman who started it all, Maria Montessori. At Bay Montessori, we are proof of the effectiveness of Montessori education across all age groups, spanning from infancy to our adolescent middle school students.

A peaceful hush has fallen over our campus as we bid farewell to another successful school year and prepare to welcome a summer bursting with creative theme camps, exhilarating wheel days, and refreshing water play. On Friday, our dedicated staff gathered for a reflective activity to close out the year, where they shared their deep appreciation for moments and people from the past year. Through stories of our incredible students, gratitude for one another, and an overwhelming love for our school community, a powerful bond of unity and shared purpose was beautifully woven together. As we step into the summer season, what are you most appreciative of?

The students at Bay said farewell as the school closed out their 32nd year yesterday. Heartfelt goodbyes to some leaving for new adventures, others until the fall, and many for just a short week of rest before summer camps begin on June 8th.

This was a year of growth, triumphs and milestones accomplished. We are grateful to our entire community for all the support, kind words and generosity shown during this year. As one chapter closes, another begins, and we are excited for all that awaits our Bay community.

We are still accepting registrations for Preschool, Kindergarten, and 4th–7th grade for the fall. If you’re looking for a nurturing Montessori community where children can thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

Yesterday our middle school community celebrated a milestone: our first full class graduation since launching our stand-alone middle school program (7th & 8th grades). These adolescents have spent years growing in independence, courage, and responsibility, and today we honored the young adults they have become.

Guiding many of these students through their middle school years has been Zach Anderson, who recently completed his fourth year at Bay Montessori. His leadership and dedication, along with colleagues Larissa Kamakaris and Alexa Steele, have helped shape a vibrant adolescent community both inside and outside the classroom.

Maria Montessori reminds us, “But, above all it is the education of adolescents that is important, because adolescence is the time when the child enters on the state of adulthood and becomes a member of society.” Watching this class throughout the last two years, their teachers see that transformation in real time.

If you are a parent curious about what Montessori looks like at the middle school level, we invite you to schedule a visit, meet our teachers and see the prepared environment designed for the adolescent in action.

A huge thank you to Reid Silverman for his wonderful photos of the occasion!
