It’s time for another Mondays with Mrs. Koen — Meet an Eagle! ❤️🦅

This week, I’m excited to introduce you to Mrs. Monroy, one of our amazing COMM Special Education teachers! Mrs. Monroy has spent 12 years at Independence and brings so much heart, joy, and passion to our Eagles each and every day.

From her love of bright colors and crafts to cruises and cats, there is so much to love about Mrs. Monroy!

Take a few minutes to get to know the wonderful person behind the teacher. We are so lucky she calls Independence home! ❤️💙

Desde su amor por los colores brillantes y las manualidades hasta los cruceros, los gatos y su talento para hacer hablar hasta a la persona más tímida 😊, ¡hay mucho que conocer y querer de la Sra. Monroy!

❤️💙 Week TWO, Eagles! 🦅

The first-day jitters are behind us, routines are taking shape, friendships are growing, and our classrooms are already filled with learning and joy!

And our staff? They are ALL IN. ❤️ From welcoming students each morning to creating engaging classrooms, solving problems, giving hugs, celebrating little wins, and doing whatever it takes for our Eagles—our Independence staff is truly something special.

¡Los nervios del primer día ya quedaron atrás, nuestras rutinas están tomando forma, las amistades están creciendo y nuestras aulas ya están llenas de aprendizaje y alegría!
