In Ms. P**n & Ms. Keikei’s toddler classroom, our little learners had another busy week of building independence and caring for their classroom community! 🌱 The children explored a variety of Montessori works that strengthened concentration, coordination, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. They also practiced Care of the Environment through meaningful everyday responsibilities such as washing dishes and helping feed our classroom pets. During language time, the children explored the Sound Box, building early awareness of sounds and vocabulary through hands-on learning. We love seeing how proud they are to take care of their classroom, complete a work independently, and contribute to their little community. These everyday moments may seem small, but they are helping our toddlers learn, “I can do it!”

🌱 Growing in Independence in Ms. P**n & Ms. Keikei’s Class! 🌱

Last week, our toddlers were busy learning what it means to be an important part of their classroom community! They began taking on classroom responsibilities such as helping with snack, flowers, books, plants, and caring for our classroom pets. 🪴🌸📚

Through their Montessori work, the children also practiced independence, concentration, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. From matching and sorting to practical life activities like washing dishes, watering plants, and caring for our classroom, there were so many opportunities for little hands to do BIG work! 💛

We also shared our first Godly Play lesson of the year, where the children were introduced to the Altar and began learning about the special items we see and use in our worship space. ✝️

We love watching our toddlers discover just how capable they are. Each new responsibility and each “I did it!” moment helps build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging in our classroom. ✨

🌟 Busy Hands, Growing Minds! 🌟

Ms. Elliott and Ms. Walker’s class has been hard at work this week! The children spent time exploring a variety of Montessori works that encouraged concentration, independence, and hands-on learning.

From sorting and transferring to sweeping, cutting, language work, and fine motor activities, each experience gave the children an opportunity to practice new skills while working at their own pace. ✂️🥄🧹

We love watching their confidence grow as they choose their work, concentrate on a task, and experience the joy of doing things independently! ❤️

In Ms. Stuart’s Art Specials classroom, our young artists have been busy exploring, creating, and building independence! 🎨✨ Students experimented with color and different art materials, practiced brushwork and drawing, created with paper, scissors, and glue, and even took responsibility for caring for their art space by washing materials and cleaning their work areas. Through each creative experience, they are strengthening fine motor skills, concentration, independence, and confidence while discovering the joy of expressing themselves through art. As Picasso said, “Every child is an artist!” 🖌️💛
