Reminder for families! Our student information system is transitioning to a new and improved platform this summer — Skyward Qmlativ. Here's what that means for your family between now and the first day of school:

📌 Now – July 17 | Skyward SMS is available in read-only mode. If there are documents you may need this summer — unofficial transcripts, report cards, records, etc. — download them before July 17.

📌 July 13 | Online enrollment reopens in the new Qmlativ system.

📌 July 17 – Aug. 2 | The Skyward app will be temporarily offline. A browser link will be available during this window for document access.

📌 Aug. 3 | Family Access opens in Skyward Qmlativ! Delete and reinstall the Skyward app on your device and sign back in to get started.

📌 Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. | Student schedules are released for all grade levels.

It was a full day of treats for teachers! Amazing snacks and encouragement from Valley Creek Church, nacho lunch from Central Elementary PTA, and an end of day treat from Kona Ice! We love our community Friends of Central!

What a great Cinco de Mayo for Teacher Appreciation Week! We were treated to bagels from National Life Group and an amazing lunch from Flurry’s Market, kindly donated by our friends at Wellington Elementary! Just a bunch of Beach Bums enjoying some great food and fellowship!

Final House Pep Rally of 25-26 school year! Each House got to present their chant, awards were given for perseverance and leadership, our dance club presented, and everyone got a popsicle! It was a beautiful morning! Videos in the comments!

Central Celebrations lately…

The LEF Timi Winter Memorial Scholarship was presented to former Central Cowboys Izel Godinez and Rodrigo Carrillo. It was wonderful to hear their Central memories and their plans for the future. Remember, Once a Cowboy, Always a Cowboy!

On Friday, Ms. Buck and Ms. Nellie Apodaca attended the Communities In Schools of North Texas Stay in School Banquet. We loved celebrating the students and staff chosen for this year’s awards. A big thank you to Ms. Nellie and all she does for the students and families at Central!

How about some Central Celebrations from the past week to start off this rainy Tuesday! We've seen so much joy at the LISD ESSP Awards, in the hallways of our students taking the STAAR test, and the Book Bash sponsored by Marcus HS NEHS. It's a great YEAR to be a Cowboy!
