One year ago today we were heading out on our AMAZING YATP trip to NYC!! Shows, alumni visits, meetings with producers, more shows, museums and so much fun!!! Memories to last a lifetime! 🎭🎶🧳✈️💕

Fun group of 10th-12th High Schoolers did some great work on 1:1 and small group audition prep last week, plus SO proud of our student playwright for managing the reading of their NEW work to cap off the month!!! ‘Twas a FABULOUS end to a wonderful last week of May!!! Happy summer!!! ☀️😎🎭✨🎵

Congratulations to long time student for her booking of the role of Chava !!! She will share the stage with YATP alum and former guest AEA artist, the AMAZING actor starring as Tevye!!! Performances run June 12-21st in Garland with a LIVE orchestra🎵🎶🎵, amazing production team and cast. Get tickets now and support live theatre this summer!!!

Some of our Musical Theatre workshop students enjoyed a sunny lunch break in the new courtyard at the Lewisville Grand and had fun becoming one with the beautiful NEW art in the sculpture gardens.

In memoriam of Captain Mark Weber.
A true hero.

On this Memorial Day, we honor all of those have died while serving our country. We especially remember our former student, Capt. Mark Weber, a 2011 graduate of the Air Force Academy, who was killed in a helicopter crash while serving in Iraq in 2018.

Capt. Mark Weber was posthumously awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Mark's bravery and service will be long remembered. Whether he was serving our country, serving in a musical ensemble, serving his community, or serving his family, he lived an exemplary life.

We honor your memory and send love to your entire family this day and always, Mark. You are a true American hero.

The Webers are true YATP family. Mark's father served on our Board of Directors as Treasurer for several years while his mother was a frequent volunteer and often found stitching costumes, helping feed cast members, or hosting cast parties. Mark's four sisters also all had turns with YATP, with his eldest sisters Kristin and Lori going on to have many professional credits including Kristin (who is now a professional comedienne and published author) playing the role of Amaryllis in the National Touring Company of The Music Man, and Lori (who is now serving as a nurse) having appearances in Gilmore Girls and Grey's Anatomy.

Remembering Mark's team spirit as a member of our ensemble of Beauty and the Beast will always bring joy to our hearts.
