New Parent Orientation was held this evening for new students and their families! We are excited to welcome them to the Academy and can’t wait to get the school year started!! Best of luck new students as you begin your journey here towards your future career!!

On Thursday, August 20, the Practical Nursing students had their biannual career fair and mock interviews at the school.

Seniors and juniors had the chance to meet with 14 different employers over multiple counties to explore career opportunities. The seniors also performed mock interviews as a way to gain experience in preparation for upcoming interviews as they prepare to graduate this September 10th.

At the Academy we believe every student deserves to feel confident, prepared and supported! The Academy’s Owl’s Nest is a supply closet located within the Career Coach’s office created to provide essential items for students in a safe, welcoming and confidential environment. Examples include daily hygiene necessities, uniform shirts, pens, and other items students may need to successfully make it through their day. The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members proudly maintain the Owl’s Nest and most importantly all student requests and support are handled with care and complete confidentiality! The Practical Nursing students spent the day touring Bethesda Mission and the state capital in Harrisburg. This day trip provides the students a better understanding of community needs and advocacy in nursing.
