One new and exciting thing we’re doing at Sacred Heart this year is 5th and 6th Grade Reading Buddies with Kindergarten!

Our kindergarteners get to team up with their big buddies and take turns reading together! We usually start with our kindergarteners reading a book to their older buddies. Once they finish, the roles reverse, and their big buddies read a book to them!

It’s such a wonderful opportunity for our little learners to build confidence in their reading skills while our older students practice leadership, patience, and encouragement.

Celebrating Our September Disciples of the Month!

Each day, our students remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. Through their compassion, helping hands, and love for others, these students truly reflect the light of Christ.

Congratulations to our Disciples of the Month! We are so proud of the examples you set and the joy you bring to our Sacred Heart family!

Celebrating the Feast of St. Francis!

In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, known for his love of God’s creation and all living creatures, our students brought some very special “friends” to school, their favorite stuffed animals!

It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate St. Francis and remember his example of kindness, compassion, and care for all of God’s creation.

Learning looks a little different when your desk becomes the whiteboard!

Our third and fourth graders put their whiteboard desks to work today as they practiced place value in a fun, hands-on way. There’s nothing better than learning, creating, erasing, and trying again, all right at your seat!

Our had Students had a little extra fun celebrating one of our favorite local traditions! Students headed out on a **Goose Day scavenger hunt through town**, searching for clues and enjoying some fresh air and community fun along the way.

And, of course, no Goose Day celebration would be complete without a little good luck! Everyone enjoyed **goose cookies** to make sure we have plenty of luck in the year ahead!

We love finding special ways to celebrate the traditions that make our community such a wonderful place to call home.

**Learning comes to life in 2nd grade!**

Our second graders put their imaginations to work while learning about **visualizing a text**. As their teacher read a character description aloud, students listened closely and drew what they pictured in their minds.

One description, so many different pictures, and a wonderful reminder that every reader brings their own imagination to a story!

We love seeing our students become thoughtful, creative readers!

Caught in the act… making sure a student knows they are seen. ❤️

Our Positive Postcards may be small, but the message behind them is anything but.

I noticed you. I’m proud of you. What you do matters.

We happened to catch one of those special moments, a teacher taking the time to recognize a student and remind them that the good they bring to SHS does not go unnoticed.

These are the moments that make our school feel like a family. ❤️

A Grand Day at Sacred Heart!

Our cafeteria was filled with extra love today as we welcomed our grandparents and special guests for Grandparents Day!

We loved watching our students share their school with some of their biggest cheerleaders. We are so grateful for the love, faith, wisdom, and support our grandparents bring to our Sacred Heart family.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made today so special!
