Go look for Northern Lights this evening between 8-10pm!!

[4p UPDATE] - The kP-Index has surged to an 8 on the scale from 1 to 9! Typically to see the Northern Lights in Illinois, we need a 6 or a 7 and higher. An 8 is pretty incredible and gives us a really great shot!

The issues? It's peaking during the daylight hours and there's no guarantee it stays past sunset, AND we've got cloud cover increasing here!

Keep an eye out say 8p-10p and see if there's a clearing to the north tonight in Illinois. Some of us may still get a chance, but clouds are spoiling the fun more than likely.
