Please "welcome" Beth Dube, who will be one of our 6th grade teachers. Beth graduated from USM and did her student teaching with us last year. We are so excited she is back with us full time! Her family is from Lewiston so she feels a strong connection to the area. She is very happy to be working in the community she grew up in! She chose teaching as her profession because she can continue to learn and grow and she will learn just as much from her students as they do from her. Beth loves to travel and she was very fortunate to be able to visit Italy this past summer with some family and friends. She also loves to read, especially mystery novels, and going to concerts. She has seen Billy Joel 4 times! Her favorite quote is ā€œChildren are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.ā€ - Dr. John Trainer

This staff member has been with us for 2 years, but next year she will be going into a new teaching role, please welcome one of our new Kindergarten teachers, Brittany Brown! Brittany has always worked with kids starting as a teenager, then she worked in a daycare for many years while going to school. Then she was a stay at home mom with her kids for 10 years. When she started at McMahon 2 years ago, she was in Day treatment then transitioned to the behavioral intervention room with Amie Sherry, who is incredible. I wanted to start a new chapter in my career and love
working with the littles and she felt Kindergarten was calling her. Brittany and her husband have been married for 13 years and have 3 children (who all attend McMahon), which makes life a little bit easier, and a beagle named Rocky. Brittany
loves watching kids grow and gain confidence. She says "Itā€™s so rewarding watching kids finally understand something and just light up. Building
those relationships are so rewarding! I love when students come up to me with smiles and hugs. It makes my day every time!" Brittany loves all things Disney and Harry Potter along with pickles and Dr. Pepper! Her and her family love traveling and going on adventures like to Disney and Missouri to visit family. Please welcome Jocelyn Coffin to our McMahon family! This will be Jocelyn's 3rd year teaching kindergarten and is so excited to start the year at McMahon. Her family is from the Central Maine area and enjoys spending time with family and friends especially at the beach or in nature. Jocelyn loves getting to know her learners and building a positive classroom community and she really enjoys helping her students find a love for learning through hands-on activities and collaboration. Jocelyn is an avid runner, hiker and loves reading books. She is really looking forward to running in next April's Tiger Run too! Her favorite quote is "Everyday is a chance to learn something new and wonderful." Jocelyn, get ready to hit the ground running... this year is going to be a marathon of fun! Please welcome Ashley Turcotte to our McMahon family! Ashley will be working in one of our RISE classrooms as a BHP. Her and her husband Dave, have 2 children, Ace who is in 1st grade here at McMahon, and Ellie who will be 2 this November. Ashley will fit in nicely with our community because she says she loves teaching "because I love to help the students grow and achieve the goals they have. It's awesome to see them achieve milestones, even if they are small. The growth you see throughout the year makes teaching worth the while." Ashley loves sports and has played all kinds. She loves the Bruins, the Patriots, and... (sigh) the Yankees. However, she blames it on "Family Tradition." Her and her family love the beach and summertime along with cooking and having get togethers with family and friends. Please welcome to our McMahon family! Misty come to us with over 20 years of working with children in various capacities. She will be our new Day Treatment teacher next year which fits nicely with why she loves teaching: "I love teaching because I love to see my students grow and find their own spark! It's important to me that students have teachers who shine a spotlight on student's successes and love what they do. Teaching can be hard but I fully immerse myself in the little as well as the big moments of success that I get to experience with them! It is truly a teacher's greatest gift!" Misty has 2 daughters, 3 cats and she loves plants, cats, and pickles...in no particular order. She loves hiking and going to the beach where she can recharge, disconnect, and reconnect with nature. She also "seriously" loves karaoke and dancing! (I envision her joining our Karaoke club!) Her favorite quote is "you are the ONLY person you will ALWAYS be with your whole life so make sure to take care of #1, yourself!- a quote by me!"

Please welcome Danica Jackman to our McMahon family! Danica has worked in childcare for 10 years and will be one of our Kindergarten teachers this year. She loves teaching because she gets to make a meaningful difference in children's lives. She is really looking forward to watching her students learn, grow, gain confidence, and discover new things every day. She loves building relationships with her students, celebrating their little accomplishments, and creating a classroom where they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Danica still lives near her parents and has an older brother and loves spending time with them and her friends. She is a dog lover and loves to take pictures of her 2 pups. Please welcome Jada Bailey as she will be joining our McMahon family as a BHP in one of our RISE classrooms. She has worked as an Ed Tech for the past few years and has also done some In-Home care. She really enjoys seeing the growth in her students especially when they reach their milestones. Working with children has always made her happy and she feels passionate about her career. Yes, her and Jenna are twins lol, so she also has 5 other siblings and she enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures and being outdoors. Her favorite quote is "you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."

Please welcome Jenna Bailey to our McMahon Family! She started with us last year as a long term sub, but this year she will be a BHP with our littles in Ms. Cavenaugh's class. Jenna loves seeing the smiles on the children's faces when they learn something new and loves building close bonds to help nourish them. She also believes every child should feel included. Jenna has a twin sister, Jada, who also works here at McMahon, and 5 other siblings. She loves summer time, going to the beach, traveling and shopping. She also loves church Sundays! Her favorite quote is "the hard days are what makes you stronger!"
