USDA Grant Success for LC Millwright Program!

LC State’s Industrial Maintenance & Millwright Technology program was awarded over $17,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

New Diamond Hone getting set up for our Automotive Students! They will use it for the finishing process for engine blocks!!

Earlier this month our Fire Service Technology students were able to tour a Life Flight helicopter and receive a lot of excellent information on what they do!

Industrial Electronics students took a field trip to Onsemi in Boise. They got to experience the inside of a cleanroom where they manufacture microchips!

Technical and Industrial faculty took students to compete in SkillsUSA at the state level in Boise last week. Big shout out to our faculty and student medalist:

GOLD—Spencer Lytle in CNC 3 axis milling
GOLD—Jackson Fife in CNC 2 axis Turning
Silver—Andrew Anderson in CNC 2 axis Turning

Silver—Abbigail Tellez in Architectural Drafting

GOLD—Kyler Peterson in HVACR
Silver—Sam Brisbois in HVACR

The Gold medalists having been recognized by the state as champions and professionals in their field and have been invited to participate in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Ga in June. Congratulations to all participants!
