UMA students and alumni are invited to join us for an End of Summer BBQ at the UMA Lewiston Center on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 4:00pm. We will have lots of food, fun, games, and prizes! Currently registered UMA students who attend will be entered into a drawing for either a 55" TV or Android tablet package. You must be present to win. We have some great in-person classes this fall at the UMA Lewiston Center including this one: ENG 102, Introduction to Literature, course #82540. It meets Wednesdays, 1:00 - 3:45pm. We will have lots of fun games, prizes, and fantastic food including: hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hotdogs, beans, veggie burgers, salads, sides, and desserts.

This will be a great opportunity for all of us to gather, have some fun as the summer comes to a close, and then shift gears to start the fall semester! Please RSVP by August 20 so that we can have an accurate count for food.

🆓 We offer the Osher New Beginnings Scholarships to encourage Maine residents of all ages to try college! The scholarship can cover one or two classes, including books and required materials. (The fall semester starts August 31st)

You may qualify if you:
📌are a Maine resident,
📌have earned a high school diploma or equivalent,
📌are a first-time student OR have not attended college in at least 3 years,
📌have 30 or fewer credit hours,
📌will commit to completing a college course.

The UMA Lewiston Center has scholarships available for the fall semester that will allow first-time college students to take up to 2 classes completely free. Even books are paid for!
