Well, here's a new one. Got a call from 786-222-5358 saying he was US CUSTOMS. Asked if I was expecting a package from Mexico City. Told him no. He then said because I was such a nice guy, paid my taxes on time, and didn't get into trouble, HE was going to send me a package as a gift !!! (such nice folks there). Sorry, didn't have time to play, so quickly identified who he had called, told him it was nothing but a scam (of course, he denied, he was REAL) and hung up. Folks, scams are everywhere. Don't tolerate them and hang up. Chief.

So, Chief Cochran jumped in head first while helping with hydrant testing. Literally. Yes it was raining but he took a direct shot from a 4" diffuser Hooked directly to a hydrant while attempting to reposition the portable to catch the water. Now that is sacrifice. And still smiling!

U.S. Highway 12 east of Kooskia closing this afternoon because of avalanche threat The Idaho Transportation Department announced Monday morning that several miles of U.S. Highway 12 east of Kooskia will be closed indefinitely because of avalanche hazard.

Well Folks, while it is good news that this nefarious individual HAS been detained BEFORE they could initiate any criminal activities in our fine community, I am sorry to say that we cannot have him available to do some mandated community service in town this year due to warrants in other areas. He is far to big of a flight risk for the other areas for us to allow him out in the public at this time. Chief Cochran
