HAPPY NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVORS DAY!

I'm on the road to Spokane today with my Mom. We've driven this road many times. Every time was to go to treatment, to see doctors, go to chemo or specialists.

This time it's to fly to Portland to see my boyfriend, Garret.

Five years ago I would have never thought I would be in the place I am now.

I thank God everyday I get the opportunity to wake up every morning. I'm thankful to be able to spend the special moments with my family and friends and truly enjoy life.

When life is almost taken away you learn to appreciate every second.

To repeat what I said a year ago. Today...please send a message to someone that has fought or is fighting cancer of how much you love them. Think about the happy memories of someone who has lost their battle. Hug the people you love tighter because you never know how quickly life can take a step in another direction.

Make sure to enjoy today! ☀️

I know I haven't post for awhile but I wanted to share this!

My brother Trevor made the Thanksgiving paper! He started his weightlifting journey in 2018 because he wanted to be stronger than his peers at school and he's become a lifting champion! 🏆 I'm so proud of you!

Everyone needs to pick up a paper and read the great story they wrote on him. I also put a link below. 🦃 🏋

Hello!

I have received many messages for an update. I apologize for not making one sooner.

Things have been going good.

I tried for a couple weeks to see my oncologist but just gave up on that. It was becoming a hassle to get into him. So, I went to see my primary Teresa. (I'll refer to her by her first name because I can't remember if I've asked to use her name or not.) She is wonderful and I feel so lucky to have someone that listens and truly cares like she does. Where she works everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I'm thankful for that.

I went and had a Pet Scan done at St. Joe's last week. I'm still waiting for the results. The pain in my right lung is still very much an issue. I'm hoping the pet scan will shed some light on that. Some days just getting out of bed or walking is difficult. I just can't breathe very well at times.

I'm still dealing with neuropathy in my hands and feet. It has never gotten better. Over time I'm just learning to live with it. Some days are better than others. The bad days though...they are really bad!

My little sister graduates in June so we are all looking forward to that. Hopefully she'll get a normal graduation!

Everyone in my family is doing good. Dad and Mom are working. Meg, Trev, Nat and Ish are all attending school and doing great!

Over all we are enjoying life!
