Student Highlight 💫
Meet Connor Alexander! He’s a fourth-year Biology student graduating next fall and plans to go to med school to become a pediatrician 🩺
He’s also on the Track & Cross Country teams at LC State and says time management is the key to balancing school and sports (with time for pickleball too ).
Connor works at the Student Success Center, where he stepped up to become a Biology tutor after seeing the need—now it’s a job he loves.
He says he’ll miss the people and community at LC State the most, and he enjoys working in the Biology lab since it connects to his future career.

Student Highlight! 🔆

This is Makenzie Stout! She is a senior here at LCSC and plays volleyball and works in the Controllers Office!

She is majoring in Business Admin and has a minor in marketing. She has played volleyball all of her time at LC. She says that her school and sport balance has been juggled well due to the cooperativeness and willingness of the staff to work with her.

She loves working in the Controllers Office because she gets to work with fun, well experienced individuals. She explained that the job has presented opportunities to her that she feels she couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.

Her favorite part about LC State is the people she has met. She has made such close connections with people here and she plans to stay in contact with them after she graduates.

Her favorite Jitterz Drink is Pink Lotus with Pomengranate and Passion Fruit.

Student Leadership Highlight💫

This is Carol Carillo! She is a campus tour guide through the office assistant position in the Admissions office!

She heard about the position through one of her friends who did Work Study and she applied for the position!

To be a campus tour guide, she explained that you have to be comfortable talking to new people and know a lot of information about campus!

She is a senior studying Kinesiology and she graduates this Spring! She said she is going to miss the community at LCSC and the familiar feeling of Lewiston as it has become her second home.

Her favorite professor through her time at LC State was Professor Clay Robinson. She said he made the environment so welcoming, and she felt she could ask him any question and he was willing to answer it.

This is Jessica Riggs! She is a Peer Mentor on our campus!
She learned about the Peer Mentor Program her first year here at LC in her SD107 course that all freshman are required to take.

She recommends being a peer mentor because it allows her to put herself out there and be a part of fun activities.

This is her 2nd year at LCSC and her favorite part about the campus is the community. In her own words she says, “I haven’t met anyone that I didn’t love spending time with”.

She primarily spends her time in the clubhouse in the SUB for her office hours.

Her favorite drink to order at Jitterz is a caramel macchiato!
