At the School Committee meeting on Monday, October 5, staff members Jason Merritt and Rodney Boynton, along with a fantastic group of hard-working students, were recognized for their involvement in LRTC's (Lewiston Regional Technical Center) Summer Youth Employment program!

Over the summer, these students worked across our schools—tackling painting projects, maintenance, and various small jobs to get our facilities shining and ready for the school year.

Thank you to Jason and Rodney for their mentorship and leadership, and a huge round of applause to our students for taking pride in our schools and building valuable hands-on skills!

Huge shoutout to Natasha Turcotte, Rosie Burgess, and Aguinalda Miguel at the Student Resource Center! 🌟

This incredible team goes above and beyond to support our students and families—from providing essential needs like food, clothing, laundry, and hygiene supplies, to offering a safe, welcoming space for those facing housing instability.

Whether connecting families with vital resources or showing up with a warm smile during summer outreach, they embody the absolute best of Lewiston Public Schools.

Thank you, Natasha, Rosie, and Aguinalda, for removing barriers and making a difference every single day! 💙👏
