Another exciting step as we prepare for a brand-new year at The Schoolhouse for the Excellency of Knowledge!

We are busy behind the scenes putting on all the finishing touches, preparing classrooms, organizing spaces, and getting everything ready to welcome our Schoolhouse family back through the doors.

There is so much excitement in the air as we anticipate all that this coming year will bring—the learning, growing, friendships, laughter, and memories yet to be made.

We can hardly wait to begin!

Get ready to kick off the new school year with an evening of excitement, fun, and encouragement at Back to School: Full Throttle! Bring the whole family to Graystone Baptist Church Family Life Center (The Schoolhouse) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 4:30 PM for an unforgettable community event. Enjoy thrilling motocross demonstrations and meet motocross rider and guest speaker Chase Whitten as he shares an inspiring message of faith, perseverance, and purpose. Kids will love the balloon artist and everyone will enjoy live music by the young and talented, Malachi Wickline. Come hungry! All food proceeds will benefit the students and ministries of The Schoolhouse. Whether you're returning to school or simply looking for a fun family evening, this event is a great opportunity to connect with friends, make new memories, and start the school year with encouragement, excitement, and a reminder that God has a purpose for every journey. Everyone is welcome!

GRAYSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH! 🎒✏️🍎

I’m happy to share this fun event being hosted by Graystone Baptist Church!

Just to avoid any confusion, this is a Graystone Baptist Church community event, not a Schoolhouse event — and ALL children are invited, no matter where they attend school!

Public school, private school, homeschool, microschool — wherever your children learn, Graystone would love to have them join in the fun as we celebrate the beginning of a new school year!

I love seeing our local churches reaching out and encouraging the children and families in our community.

Kevin will serve as our Impact Coach, encouraging and guiding our young people spiritually and through life’s challenges, while Missy will serve in Administration.

YES!! YES!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!

A quiet classroom can look like a successful classroom.

But quiet doesn’t always mean engaged.
And movement doesn’t always mean distracted.

Kids learn with their whole bodies. Sometimes getting up, moving around, changing positions, or taking a quick movement break is exactly what helps them come back more focused and ready to learn.

So maybe the question isn’t, “How do we get kids to sit still?”

Maybe it’s, “What do kids need to stay engaged?” 💙

That’s the kind of classroom we’re working toward.

It’s been a dreary-looking day with plenty of rain, and it may have left some of us feeling a little sluggish—but it certainly hasn’t dampened the excitement of our Schoolhouse staff!

We are so excited to introduce Desirae Fisher and welcome her as another wonderful addition to our Schoolhouse family!

We are blessed to have you, Desirae, and we can’t wait to see all that God has in store for you and the children whose lives you’ll touch this year!
