✨As the curtains close on another Weis Center season, we want to say THANK YOU to our wonderful community for making it so meaningful.✨
Looking back, we are so proud of everything we experienced together. This year, the Weis Center came alive with:
🎭 21 breathtaking performances from world-class artists
🤝 Nearly 30 enriching residency activities, from inspiring masterclasses with Bucknell students to engaging pre-show talks and intimate post-show meet-and-greets.
None of this magic happens in a vacuum. We are deeply grateful for every brilliant visiting artist who shared their craft, every student who brought their curiosity to a masterclass, and every patron who allowed themselves to be captivated by a live performance.
In a fast-paced world full of distractions, thank you for making the conscious choice to show up, connect, and support live, professional performing arts.❤️
Now, it’s time for a quick breather—but not for long! We are already hard at work curating next season's line-up. Keep an eye out in late summer when we officially announce our brand-new 2026–2027 season! 🗓️👀
With profound gratitude,
The Weis Center Staff

Today, members of OIANT (the Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies) led a masterclass for Bucknell University students.
Founded in 2000, the ensemble is based at the National University of Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Directed by Alejandro Iglesias Rossi, it brings to life pre-Columbian instruments recovered from the Amazon, Andes, and Mesoamerica, combining them with modern technology.
They use re-created pre-Hispanic instruments, including wind and percussion instruments sourced from indigenous communities and archaeological museums.
They discussed the origins of the instruments, demonstrated how to play them (mind-blowing!), and discussed the art and science of reproducing the instruments for the modern age. What a unique sonic experience!
Thank you for Tyler Yamin (Music) and Hilario Lomeli (Latin American Studies) for partnering with us!
DON'T MISS THIS PERFORMANCE ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
