are." Greenbrier School of Practical Nursing is an Adult Education program administered by Greenbrier County Schools and the West Virginia Department of Education. The school is fully accredited by the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses. Greenbrier School of Practical Nursing's first class of students began September 4, 2002. Prior to that time, the school name had been Region IV School of Practical Nursing. The name change was made because "Region IV" Practical Nursing School no longer gave priority admission to those applicants from the 5 counties of Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, Nicholas & Webster counties. In addition, "Region IV" was often confused with other areas such as RESA-IV. Region IV School of Practical Nursing's first class began on October 20, 1975. region of Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, Nicholas & Webster counties. The last class under the name of Region IV graduated in August 2002. Region IV School of Practical Nursing graduated a total of 382 students. Greenbrier School of Practical Nursing has graduated a total of 235 graduates as of September 12, 2020.
