Today we celebrate the joy of being outdoors- whether it’s hiking, exploring, or simply enjoying the beauty around us. 🌿Grateful for the experiences nature gives us and the moments of peace it brings. Happy Earth day! 🌍

This past week, OEL spent a thrilling day mountain biking on Geisinger trails in Danville, PA! 🚵‍♂️ We have plenty of adventures ahead, so make sure to keep an eye out for upcoming trips this semester! ☀️🏕️

Let’s get outside! Registration for new adventure trips (taking place after spring break) will go live on the OEL website on March 1st! As it starts to warm up, this is the perfect time to go on some spring adventure trips!

As the new semester starts to ramp up, here is a throwback to the end of last semester! OEL staff came together to celebrate a successful semester full of fun and rewarding trips, rentals, and programming. Our annual OEL Winter Ball consisted of lots of singing, quality time together, and reflection on a great semester! Welcome back to campus, everyone; we are so excited for another great semester with our OEL community and are truly grateful for everyone who joins us in getting outside!

OEL has received a generous gift from the Hall Family, in memory of their son, Douglas Hall (class of 1991). Doug was an avid climber and outdoor enthusiast. He graduated with a degree in engineering, and moved to Colorado to work as an engineer for Black Diamond, and then a photographer. Doug Hall left behind a legacy of adventure, a list of first ascents, and an adventurous spirit that we’re excited to remember and celebrate with this bouldering park! Thank you to everyone who attended the dedication.
