We are proud of students in and out of the lab! Tessa Kopetchny, Biochemistry '28, is a research student in Prof. Sarah Smith's lab, a TA, and an excellent violinist. Congratulations on your concert, Tessa!

Saddened to share news of the passing of an outstanding and remarkable Bucknell Chem alum, Amos B. Smith III who had a distinguished career at UPenn and graduated from Bucknell's BS/MS program. Remembrances welcome, and I'm sure there will be more to come, but here is a short link:

CHEM DAY-CAMP AT BUCKNELL !!! June 15-16, 2023

Bucknell’s Chemistry Department is hosting a hands-on and interactive chemistry day camp June 15-16, 2023. The camp is open to high school students who are rising sophomores and older.

• Learn about different kinds of chemistry
• Interaction with Bucknell chemistry faculty and students
• Hands-on chemistry demos
• Lunch and snacks included
• A culminating dinner w/family where campers perform demos

This is an exciting opportunity for students to learn new chemistry and gain confidence in their science skills. The cost of the camp is $250 per camper, and there is some financial aid available for students who may need financial support.

Celebrate with fall themed activities, crafts, and treats sponsored by The Northumberland National Bank . Dress in your favorite costume 🧙🏽‍♀️. PLUS, enjoy hands-on STEM stations with Bucknell Chemistry, goodie bags from Student Government, and tasty treats from our friends at Dries Orchards and Dunkin Donuts. Program is included with general admission or membership. Program will be held outside weather permitting.
