Sop proud of the athletes from Greenbrier East for showing up at our site at Ronceverte. Little kids enjoy spending time with older kids and teenagers.

If you have a teen who still needs something to do this summer, please call us at (304) 647-7408. We would love to have them volunteer this summer at Energy Express!

Thank you to the Greenbrier East High School boys soccer, girls basketball, and football players for visiting and showing our kids that reading and sports go hand in hand. It was great for our kiddos to have positive role models show up in a big way to encourage them and interact with them. We appreciate you all!

Congratulations to former Greenbrier Co 4-Her and one of our former summer interns, Garrett Vaughan on becoming the WVU Extension Service-Pocahontas County Ag and Natural Resources Agent. He is bringing a wealth of knowledge to his new position, and has some big shoes to fill there.

Good Luck Garrett! And if you need any help, we’re just a phone call away.

Join us in welcoming Garrett Vaughan to the WVU Extension team, as the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for Pocahontas County!

“I was very blessed to be raised in a community that is both unique and supportive, with a strong agricultural heritage and a deep sense of community. Those experiences helped me develop an appreciation for the importance of agriculture and natural resources, and showed me the impact that education and outreach can have on a community. Looking back, those influences undoubtedly helped guide me toward my current role as an ANR agent,” he says. Read more about Garrett here ➡ https://tr.ee/4Ob8Ry
