I’m pretty much in love with my Ninja Air Fryer. Saw a recipe today and figured I could adjust it for my air fryer! Success! Fried tacos! Here’s the recipe, adjusted from 3 lb of meat to 1 (otherwise it would make a TON!)
1 lb ground hamburger
4 oz cream cheese (half a brick)
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 pkg taco seasoning
1/2 c water + 2 tbsp (keep separate)
5-6 flour tortillas (burrito size)
1 tbsp flour
2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
Preheat air fryer at 390* for 3 minutes.
Brown hamburger then drain. Return to pan, add 1/2c water and taco seasoning. Cook until most of the water is absorbed, then turn heat to low and add cream cheese, stirring frequently until cheese is all melted.
In a small bowl, mix the flour and water to form a paste. Set aside.
Cut tortillas in half, fill one side with a little shredded cheese and a few tablespoons taco meat, keeping away from the edges. Fold tortilla in half to make a wedge, then with your finger or a pastry brush lightly put a little flour paste along the 2 edges, then press tortilla edges together to seal.
Brush outside of tortilla shells with vegetable oil, then put in air fryer for 6 minutes at 390*, turning halfway. They can also be fried in vegetable oil on the stove, for 2-3 minutes, turning halfway. Drain on paper towels then serve.
Super easy! Makes 10-12 tacos!
