Had a little helper with inspections yesterday. She was too young to fly so I helped her back home when I was done.

I've come to enjoy building equipment as much as beekeeping. This year I'm going to put some horizontal hives into production. Here is a video of one I built over the winter in preparation for this season.

Horizontal Beehive - with winterization modifications. Standard horizontal hive with modifications to use the same winterization setup I use on my Langstroth hives.

It's good to get some spring inspections done. The hives I was able to get into looked great. Found and marked queens, all had good laying patterns for this time of year.
