Olentangy Trailblazers Field Hockey Club

Olentangy Trailblazers Field Hockey Club is seeking an enthusiastic head coach for the middle school-aged field hockey team. OTFHC is a 501 (c) 3 organization whose goal is to provide a middle school club team field hockey opportunity and experience in the Olentangy School District, with the hopes of developing field hockey into a fully sanctioned middle school sport. This will be a seasonal position from early August through mid-October. The selected candidate will provide instruction and development of field hockey through practices and games.

Candidates should exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and maintain competency in rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about all aspects of the sport, in accordance with OHSAA regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student-athletes, staff and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.

Previous playing or coaching field hockey experience required.

The schedule will consist of:
> 2-3 practices per week, 1.5 hours each, weekday evenings
> 1-2 games per week, weekday evenings or weekend days depending on field availability
> approximately 7-8 hours per week total

Pay will be approximately $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience.

BCI and FBI background check required.
