To all the parents of the students recently shut out of the Levittown driver education program:

You just received a letter from the Assistant Superintendent that was not factually correct. It was claimed that East Meadow Driving School could not provide the district with “evidence of appropriate insurance”.

East Meadow Driving School provided your district with the exact same insurance coverage that was provided for the Summer 2022 semester, the Spring 2022 semester, and all the years previous to your district for the last decade. This is the same insurance that is provided to more than a dozen driver education programs that East Meadow Driving School services. It is very “appropriate” to them.

East Meadow Driving School’s insurance is with the #1 provider of driver education insurance in NYS (A+ rated “excellent”). This is the same provider, and same insurance, that all major, reputable driving schools provide to the pro¬grams that they service across Long Island. It is literally millions of dollars of coverage on every car including an um¬brella coverage policy.

The truth of the matter is that your district demanded a radical change to East Meadow Driving School’s insurance cov¬erage for the driver education program, only 10 days prior to the start of the Fall program. Such a change was not possi¬ble and that is why you were shut out.

There are a number of programs, both serviced by East Meadow Driving School, and several that are not, that would accept your child into their programs. All with the same “evidence of appropriate insurance”.

- Answering and responding to existing and prospective students & and Instructors

- Follow up with Students to insure services

- Inputting Student information

- Data Entry

- Credit Card processing

- Assist with office correspondence

- Assist with other administrative tasks including, logging calls, scanning and filing
