I am thrilled to share that my bill, HB 200, also known as the Family Care Act, passed out of the House today with bi-partisan support! This legislation would bring Pennsylvania in line with more than a dozen other states that offer paid leave so workers don’t have to choose between their job and their family’s well-being after the birth of a child or during a serious illness. It now heads to the Senate for consideration.

The Community Outreach Committee sponsored their 8th annual Day of Service this past Saturday. Members were joined by friends, family, students, retirees and a school board member, all united in one purpose - feeding families in need. Together, we assembled 362 soup meal kits, enough to provide a hearty meal for a family of four. All soup kits were dropped off at the Redeemer Lutheran Food Pantry in Penndel where they are sure to be a hit. AFT Pennsylvania AFT

The NFT Wellness Committee sponsored a class at Joanna Grace Yoga. Participants engaged in slow vinyasa yoga, breathwork, and meditation to support physical healing, emotional balance, and spiritual connection.
