📚💰 A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Hofstra University student volunteers for spending the day at Commerce Plaza helping our students.

We’re especially grateful that they’re all accounting majors because when you’re teaching financial literacy, it’s always a good idea to have people around who actually like spreadsheets. 😄📊

At Commerce Plaza, students learn so much more than financial literacy 💼✨

They discover their strengths, build confidence, and learn teamwork. From being a bookkeeper at Morgan Stanley to leading the tag team at recess, these lessons go far beyond the classroom.

Today at Commerce Plaza, students from Barry Tech Child Care Skills program came to help out the students from Nassau BOCES Jerusalem Avenue. It was a great experience for the Barry Tech students to work with them for the day. They helped the students with their job tasks and learn more about their roles. It was a fun and helpful day for everyone!

A big thank you to Sweet Clementines Sips Sass and Treats for visiting Commerce Plaza this week and speaking with our The Viscardi Center Abilities Program students about the many career opportunities and possibilities available to everyone! We loved hearing your encouraging message and truly appreciated the delicious drinks that made the day even sweeter.

This week, we had the honor of attending the Imagine Awards Long Island as a finalist in the Social Impact category. It was an incredible evening celebrating the passion and dedication that drives our non-profit community forward.

We are grateful to the organizers Cerini and Associates, LLP for creating a meaningful event that highlights the impact happening across Long Island.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners. It's inspiring to be around organizations doing such important work to strengthen our communities. At Commerce Plaza, we remain committed to empowering students with financial literacy and career readiness. Being recognized alongside other impactful organizations is an honor.
