First week back at school done! As we ease back into the school year, here are some quick tips to ensure your child can be successful in the classroom, as well as at home!

- Let your child be independent: Let them do things on their own, no matter how small, it fosters skills which will continue to benefit them
- Mistakes are a good thing: Children learn from their mistakes, it helps them grow
- Maintain discipline of your child: Establishing boundaries with your child is not "being mean," it is ensuring they know the difference between right and wrong and will grow up to be honest and well mannered adults

A throwback to last year! Children learn best if they're interested in a topic; and what better way to make a topic more interesting than to have fun themed lessons?? Each month the shelves here at Compass Point Montessori are "rotated," meaning we swap out some of the materials and lessons. We also have new themes every month! This keeps the lessons fresh, leading to more engaged learning!
