For those of you who are new this year here is a little information about the meets. The school provides transportation to and from the away meets. We leave school as soon as we can get everyone together and I’ve taken attendance. I like to know who is coming so I know who should be coming back with me. Once we get to the school they are to walk the course, ask questions and use the bathrooms. We then decide at that time which will be going first, boys or girls. We wait till the first group is done then the second is off. Once they’re all in we determine who has won the race. We load up on the busses and head back to Sky View. If parents would like to take their child from the race, please let me know so that I can mark it in my book. I will not leave till everyone is accounted for. While on our way back the kids call their parents to let them know so that parents can be waiting at the school for prompt pick up time. I need you to pick your children up on time after the meets, please make arrangements if you must.

I will be handing out uniforms, please keep them in good condition as they are brand new and I need to re-use them next year. You will be given 1 shirt so take care of it please.

Hey sky view family

As many of you know we will not have XC this year.....yes it saddens me but for the safely of all it’s a must.

Leominster highschool will be running cross country this fall. I’m asking all of my graduating 8th grade students (freshman now) to reach out to me If you are interested in running for LHS so I can connect you with the coaches. They will be starting on Monday September 21st.

I have been asked by a trusted race director for some input from a middle school/high school runner. I’d your child would like to participate in the survey below it would be appreciated.

Dear Athlete,
I am writing to encourage you to complete this brief survey. This research is being conducted at Harvard Medical School by former All-American runner Adam Tenforde, who is a running medicine physician who focuses on ways to prevent injuries in youth runners. The study takes no more than 20 minutes to complete and includes questions about prior running injuries and other details on your health. All information is confidential and you are provided a 5 dollar gift card for your time. The goal of this research is to identify programs that can help keep runners healthy and enjoying the sport.
