I know it is the "calm before the storm" but we sure did have a gorgeous sunset tonight! We are in desperate need of this rain, but I hope and pray everyone stays safe as this hurricane makes landfall.

Less than 30 minutes earlier, they were doing western pleasure and trail in the arena...

Getting out of the riding arena is important to build confidence to the rider (let them go ba****ck!) and the horse (uneven ground, natural obstacles, uncontrolled environment) all while providing mental stimulation. Plus, it's FUN! I love listening to the chatter and giggles. 💜

Did we get anything more than 5 drops of rain? No.
Was it enough to wet the ground? Also, no.
Was it enough for Re*****on to make a muddy mess of himself? Absolutely! 😂🤣😂

We NEED this rain in the forcast this weekend so badly. It has been 2 months since we have had anything more than a sprinkle and the "percent chance" just keeps going down... Everything has literally just bypassed us and the dust is unreal, both creeks have completely dried up, and we won't be getting a third cutting of hay.

Congratulations to all the RBR kiddos who competed at the 2026 Middle Tennessee District Fair Junior Horse Show yesterday!

There's just something about the fair! No matter how many times I repeat, "It's just the Fair Show", the kiddos are always so excited and nervous! It's local, which means EVERYONE is there; Family, friends, their teachers...

There’s just something special about walking into that grandstand arena after all the hours and work, early mornings, late nights, and training it takes just to get there!

It was great meeting all the extended families yesterday and getting to share what I love with the community. I love getting to educate others about horses and I love even more getting to watch my RBR kiddos extend that to everyone who came up and asked them about their horses yesterday! ❤️

I am just so proud of ALL the GOALS that were met and all the memories made. The fact that everyone brought home a blue ribbon was just icing on the cake! I am so proud of each and every single one of you!
