Berkshire Agricultural Ventures is leading a new farm-to-school program that brings beef from local farmers into K-12 schools in Massachusetts. Lenox Public Schools is one of those schools.

Matt Sheffer of Cherry Point Beef, one of the participating farmers, says the goal is strong regional food systems and wholesome food for kids.

The Town of Lenox is updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan and needs our help!

The more input and opinions the more the priorities, policy decisions, investment strategies, and open space projects will reflect what families hope to see. LPS has been asked to help spread the word.

The survey can be open with this QR code or this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LenoxOSRP and will available from September 26th through December 1st, 2026.

The Town will conduct public forums to present the results of the survey in the New Year and proposed Goals, Objectives, and Actions for the updated plan.

Students greeted and thanked the Morris Library benefactors.

The Kimmel's were responsible for the recent Morris Library makeover and yesterday they paid a visit to meet some of the students and see the results. The student representatives were thrilled to show off the bright and cheery spaces, the cozy nooks, and the new books.

We send our sincerest thanks to Harvey & Virginia Kimmel for their generosity. We also need to thank the Katie O'Neil (Town Library Director), Vanessa Justice (Youth Librarian), and Sara Jarvie (Youth Assistant) for the tremendous amount of time and energy they gave assisting Katie Pratt (LMMHS Librarian) and Janet Tone (Morris Library Paraprofessional) in transforming this space. Our school community is fortunate to be the recipient of such generosity of funding and time.

Some members of the LMMHS Team are pictured, donning their student-designed purple t-shirts, right before participating in the Rise Together walk to benefit the Elizabeth Freeman Center.

This is the largest annual fundraiser and community awareness event supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence across Berkshire County.

Rory Mosher, LMMHS Band Teacher, was part of the Eagles Trombone Ensemble entertaining the crowd.
