August is National Breastfeeding Month!

At first glance these pictures seem to be of children only playing, but if you take a closer look you will notice a lot of learning taking place. Painting with different textures and colors supports a young child’s sensory input along with increasing their cognitive development through color recognition. Pretending with friends creates the opportunity to work on positive social skills. Looking at and reading books develops increased language skills and helps a child build real-world connections. It’s amazing to see how much these children learn through everyday play.

Just another day full of learning and fun at Caldwell Early Head Start!

Take a look at what's happening at our FRC in July! Each Monday from 10-12, we will have a breastfeeding counselor from WIC to support you in your breast feeding journey. Group Socializations are scheduled on July 15 and 29. The FRC will be closed from 9:30-11 each Thursday for a private support group.
