Caldwell Early Head Start

Our latest group socialization was focused on math, and it certainly measured up to be a success!! Parents were briefed on the various math activities available and engaged in them with their children. This socialization helped all to see that math is FUN!

Our next group socialization is TOMORROW at 10:30. Come out and explore how fun math can be!

Today Caldwell Early Head Start had a Staff Developmet day. We focused on learning more about Family Partnership Agreements, writing SMART goals, and refreshing ourselves on sanitation procedures. Now it’s time to take what we learned and apply it with the families we serve!

If you are breastfeeding and need information or some support be sure to stop by our Family Resource Center Mondays from 10-12 to talk with a breastfeeding support specialist from Caldwell County WIC!

Our Lil’ Movers at the Park group socialization focused primarily on gross motor movement and peer interactions. Prior to gross motor play, parents were encouraged to follow their child’s lead and reminded of safety and positive supervision strategies.
The children had fun as well as the parents!

Our latest Men’s Zone event took place at Broyhill Walking Park. Families were encouraged to engage their child in duck matching and counting activities. This was fun but the real ducks and turtles became the learning experience. Families followed their child’s lead and talked to them about the animals as they looked from a distance.
