🎉 Congratulations, Canaan! 🎉

Transition Academy is a unique experience that provides intensive work experiences and opportunities to help prepare our interns for life after high school. Whether their next step is college, military service, vocational training, or entering the workforce, we strive to help each intern build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

At Transition Academy, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to embark, build, and thrive, and Canaan is a wonderful example of what is possible when preparation meets purpose.

We are so incredibly proud of Canaan and look forward to seeing all that the future holds! 🎓✨

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that couldn't be more true when looking through the plethora of photos taken at RiverFest last night. 📸

What those pictures don't show is our incredible interns hard at work behind the scenes. From 5:00 p.m. until a little after 9:00 p.m., they were engaging with the crowd, sharing information about our program, and representing our mission with confidence and professionalism.

We couldn't be more proud of the way they represented our organization. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and motivation to make a difference in the world were evident throughout the evening. Thank you for all your hard work and for being such outstanding ambassadors of our program! 👏✨

🎉 Exciting News for Loudon County Schools! 🎉

We are proud to share that our county has been selected, along with another local school district, to participate in Project PLAN (Prepare, Launch, Accelerate, and Network)—a statewide initiative focused on improving post-school outcomes for students with disabilities.

Through this opportunity, our team will engage in professional learning, coaching, and collaborative planning designed to strengthen transition services and expand real-world experiences for students. Our goal is to continue growing and developing a transition program that equips students with the skills, supports, and opportunities they need to succeed beyond high school.

Project PLAN focuses on enhancing transition planning, building student skills, expanding work-based learning opportunities, and creating strong partnerships that prepare students for life after graduation. We are excited to learn from statewide leaders, collaborate with fellow educators, and bring innovative practices back to our schools.

This is an incredible opportunity to invest in our students’ futures and ensure they are prepared, confident, and ready for success in the real world. We look forward to sharing our journey along the way!
