Our Rise Above Preschool athletes were all smiles as they ran, passed, and practiced new skills on the field. This special visit was the perfect finale to our monthly project, “I Am an Athlete!”

The children explored sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership as they took turns, encouraged one another, and celebrated every success. They truly embodied what it means to be an athlete: confident, collaborative, and full of joy.

We’re grateful to the Chiefs Flag Football organization, and coach Ryan, for creating such a memorable experience for our young learners. If your child loved today’s activities and you’d like them to participate on an ongoing basis, flyers are available on the parent table during drop‑off and pick‑up.

Be sure to ask your kiddo about their football adventure. Their excitement is guaranteed to make you smile.

Our “I AM AN ATHLETE” project invited children to explore movement, identity, and collaboration through the Hundred Languages.
They tested different sports, compared ball textures, invented brand‑new games, and discovered how athletes use teamwork and leadership to reach shared goals.

Loose parts became arenas, fields, scoreboards, and training spaces — designed, negotiated, and built by the children themselves.
Every moment was filled with problem‑solving, communication, and confidence.
They didn’t just play like athletes… they became athletes.
