Shawnee Mission Radio Control Club

Shawnee Mission Radio Control Club SMRCC AMA Charter #312 SMRCC is a flying club that operates and maintains the flying field inside Shawnee Mission Park.

We offer free flight training on Tuesday nights with our instructors. The field has two parallel runways, covered picnic tables, plenty of work benches and Wi-fi for club members. In the last few years, we've installed electricity with 12v power access and just finished paving the runway.

📢 Park Closure Reminder 📢
​Friendly heads-up for everyone planning to head out this weekend! Shawnee Mission Park will be closed on Sunday, August 2nd from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM to accommodate the Shawnee Mission Triathlon & Duathlon.
​The park will reopen for normal activities right at noon. Please plan your morning visits accordingly! 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏊‍♂️
